Flamenco del Pueblo Viejo is excited to announce our 1st Flamenco Christmas Production!
We hope to gather the flamenco community for this special event honoring the beauty of flamenco at one of the most festive times of the year! Join us for this 8-week project in producing a navidad flamenco like no other. All ages and levels are welcome to join in this project culminating in a grand celebration at Casa Vicente! Students must be committed to attending choreogrpahy classes each week, rehearsals and performances in mid-December. Classes begin Saturday, October 18th! For Kids: "Los angeles" por tangos! 8 classes October 18th-December 13th Saturdays 11:00-12:00 am *Rehearsals: Wednesday, December 17th & Friday, December 19th 4:00 pm *Performances: Saturday, December 20th 7pm and Sunday, 21st 2 pm $150 fee includes costume rental For ADULTS:
Four levels open! Level 1 - "Los Pastores" (SEVILLANAS) Saturdays 12:00-1:00 pm Level II - "A la Pesebre" (BULERIAS) Saturdays 1:00-2:00 pm Level III - "Los Magos" (baile con Manotnes [shawls]) Saturdays 2:00-3:00 pm Level IV (A)- "La Estrella" (SOLO por Guajiras) Wednesday 5:00-6:00 pm Level IV (B) - "El Cancion de la Virgen " (DUET) Wednesday 6:00-7:00 pm Levels reflect flamenco experience/training. Insturcutors will guide all participants in the appropriate level! *Rehearsals: Wednesday, December 17th & Friday, December 19th 4:00 pm *Performances: Saturday, December 20th 7pm and Sunday, December 21st 2 pm $150 fee includes costume rental Students are STRONGLY encouraged to take INTRO, Beginning Semester Study, and/or Semester Study I to supplement the Christmas Production choreography classes!!! * Rehearsal and Performance dates are tentatively scheduled
